My Day at the San Diego Zoo
Welcome my friends! As you probably saw, my last blog post was "Travel Style: A Day at the San Diego Zoo". This blog post will be what we did on our little excursion at the zoo. I hope you enjoy!
When we first got to the zoo we walked around and checking out some reptiles at the reptile house (I actually love snakes! I even own one). We then had to have a pit stop for churros (because why not?) before we went to see the monkeys and hippos (I know! Weird combo). We then drifted from our group and had a mini photo shoot (as you could probably tell from my last blog post).
We then went to check out some polar bears and man were they dirty. They looked more like brown bears than polar bears. But they were cute! I learned that the San Diego weather is like their summer weather. So they are basically they are on a summer vacation all year-round. Those lucky ducks!
The reindeer got me in the mood for christmas! They just need some jingle bells and I was about to bust out singing Christmas songs. They were actually rubbing antlers with each other and it made a weird noise so I had to try to get a look.
This is me trying my best to see the reindeer over the little ledge. I guess it more of a big ledge because I'm 5 foot 9 and I was having a hard time seeing them.
This zebra was so close to the side that I could almost touch him! Their markings always amaze me, especially that each one is different! They were almost my favorite animal, but okapis win for me, because they are related to giraffes but have the marking of zebras on their legs. They are so cool!
LOOK AT THIS MAGNIFICENT ICE-CREAM!!
Ice cream is my weakness! If you buy me ice cream, I will instantly be your best friend. It has to be chocolate though! How beautiful were those ice creams though? Like they were on point and so Instagram worthy!
While we were eating ice cream in the nice afternoon weather, we sat under these amazing umbrellas. I love these lights and I just had to take a picture of it. I thought it was the cutest thing!
This is my mini me and I walking, or skipping, to the table. She is one on my nieces and she is so cute. I love all my nieces and nephews, but this little one cracks me up.
By this time, the day was winding down and we only had a little bit of day light left. We went on the bus tour and then our group left as we went to check out some kolas in the dark. FYI kolas may sleep 22 hours a day, but when they are awake they attack each other and sound like zombies. I can now say that kolas are not as cute as I once thought! I hope you enjoyed reading about our day at the zoo! You can check out more of our day on Youtube and down below! Matt vlogged the whole thing, so go check it out! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
